Fishmobile

The Fishmobile has become a family tradition us. If you've seen The Fishmobile recently, what you're actually seeing is Fishmobile II. The original Fishmobile had insurmountable mechanical problems... and you can read more about it here...

Back in 2007 we bought an old Toyota van as a second vehicle. It turned out to be a fun little van to drive, and we found ourselves taking it all over Southcentral Alaska on our fishing expeditions.

As a way to add a little family fun to our trips - and it wasn't that fishing wasn't enough fun by itself - we decided to decorate the van and create a website.

At the end of 2008, the old Fishmobile developed some major mechanical problems, so we parked it. We went through all of 2009 without a replacement Fishmobile... but we decided for sure to get a new one for 2010.

Our new(er) Fishmobile is a 1990 Dodge Grand Caravan. Instead of resorting to spray paint graphics, we decided to step up and get vinyl decals for the decorations.
